I live in Carshalton, there is two train lines close by as well as Beddington sewage works. The bridge that crosses the train tracks at Hackbridge is closed due to upgrade works.
This caused all the cars to divert through where I live. Not a problem, road busier thats all. Until they closed this road to dig it up without warning. They didnt even put signs up to say road closed ahead.
It took me almost 30 minutes to go 10 minutes down the road today, and only because I know the back roads where there was no traffic. I feel sorry for everyone else!
Every so often you hear angry beeps in the distance where there is loads of traffic. I'm waiting to be picked up, friend cant even get here!

Why is it so difficult for the council to plan things? Why couldn't they stagger the works so we didnt have both roads closed at once?

    ?

I used to play for a team called carshalton village, in that big park with the changing rooms in the middle, just up the road from the station!

I did that, mate.. And threw my tracking out. I think the steering is pretty soft on the Surf! Thats twice in two weeks. I think it's because it's lifted, when it wasnt lifted I never had any issues like this at all. I have spacers on the rims, works out to be like a -63 offset. With that and the lift the track rod ends are angled to their maximum. I think because of this it just has too much force.
            What do I know though.

10 minutes drive equates to about an hours walk. I had to pick up 7 litres of engine oil for the 3000 mile change interval and then get the barnet trimmed :p

If the station is on your left as you go past. Up to the lights. (car dealer on the left corner in front of you ) Turn left, park is on the left about a mile along! Just before another set of lights at a big crossroads!(maybe less, it's been a while)
Might take a drive around there soon (just to reminisce) as i'll be working in sw19 for 4 weeks !

As long as you have been certified to work on the public highway you dont have to notify anyone. you can just go and dig up any road at anytime without warning. dumb but there you go!
