Solar storms predicted

It seems that at some point we will experience a massive soalr storm sometime in the next tow or three years. These storms have the capability to knock out analogue systems so didgitla stand no chance whatsoever of surviving a solar storm. Power grids would be knocked out etc.
It is my belief that a diesel Surf can withstand such a storm as I don't think there is anything digital within it or any any electronics that can go wrong. Am I correct in this assumption.

Lot's of electronics in a Surf (engine management, gearbox, etc) so your pretty much a dead duck. The irony is that the only things still running will be Series LandRovers and they'll have broken down anyway

Don't worry too much the Earths magnetic field will protect us.

If not, then make sure you leave your home early enough to drive to the furthest point magnetic north to see some spectacular aurora borealis "on the way out".

Although I tend to take a lot of this "doom & gloom" with a pinch of salt like the millenium fiasco, it seems we are due a solar flare but the question is when, next year, next decade or in rthe next fifty years. Either way we are stuffed so might as well carry on enjoying life and have a another beer.

I take it ALL with a pinch of salt TBH. We're due Ice Ages, Solar flares, earthquakes, nuclear destruction in WW3, a massive asteroid hit etc etc etc... We keep moving on.

My Range Rover had a crap management system ...explains why the rest of the vehicle went on strike so often..
