      True, but it's got to be better than replacing heads gaskets every week-end just to keep it original under the bonnet.

        Defintely!

        My old neighbour had a Rover powered one. Troble was he was a milkman so he'd wake the whole of Merseyside at 4am when he went to work

                a guy near me is rebiulding one in yellow
                it looks realy tidy i dont think they have the same engine tho
                i'll take some pics next time i pass it

                  I used to have a MK IV Spitfire, and would love an early GT6 in BRG with wire wheels and a 1UZ fitted.

                        I prefer the spitfire's over the stags but that stag in the link looks very nice.
                        I just threw some wheels away recently which looked like those on the green one in the photo.

                            Really nice car. A young fella I used to work with owned one of them mainly cos it was just about the only thing he could afford to insure (owners club classic insurance or something)
