When my back window motor failed I tried stripping it down but it was well and truly foobarred so I just bought a replacement one.

If you do a search you'll find that one from the drivers door on a Toyota MR2 fits a treat.

This is the one I bought http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/290438495195. Bit cheaper than one with "Toyota Hilux Surf" written on the ad!
