There's two in there, small flat magnets about an inch square laying on the bottom of the pan.
They're for collecting any metal particles in the fluid as it circulates around the transmission..

it would mi earth magnet only has 65kg of pull

Only the casing, the pan, gears, bearings and shafts inside are steel.

so it would be a real tw@t if i put my magnet on top of a gearbox and magnetized the inner bits
