  • pattern brake parts?

Time for new pads + discs - hard braking is developing that warped disc feel.
So, original Toyota parts or pattern from Roughtrax?
Gut instinct is Toyota but wallet says pattern.
Any comments or experiences would be gratefully recieved.

Dont know about discs, but I bought genuine pads and pin kit etc from RT not much more than pattern parts and they are top notch from the offset.

I changed my discs and pads recently (due to a caliper siezing - had to replace caliper too) and used roughtrax, I've now got a slight judder! I guess they could need degreasing?
At the end of the day Surf Discs are just a skimmed piece of metal as long as they are made with the centre hub and braking surface inline it shouldn't be much of a problem, it's the pads that do the hard work.

Mine's fitted with Milners pattern jobbies, they stop the truck but wheels are constantly black, will get either Toyota or a known brand next time around. H

          Could be good?

had milners etc previously, last time I went for EBC green pads, far better than anything else. No brake fade and no less residue/dust on the wheels and what there is just wipes off.

Last time I changed discs and pads, I used the roughtrax ones. Cant say I noticed any difference, bu I've had no problems with them either.

Oh well, I'll bit the bullet & go for original Toyota. The local dealer has them in stock. By the time I claw the VAT back, it's not too painfull.
Experience over the last 20 years of owning various Toyotas has shown original parts outlast pattern by a long way, so T/£, the additional cost balances out I reccon.
                      Ta for the responses.

Thanks! I will be doing this also if they fit! Brake dust kills shiny rims
