  • 2.4 & 3.0 bad engines?

    http://www.dieselbob.co.uk/goodbad.asp

The 3.0 and 2.4 do appear to have their issues, what do you think?

If they are that bad why are they even considered as an option in places like afghanistan?

Poor design of the original 2.4 head aside do you really think all the over heating problems etc are the fault of the owner due to poor maintenance? I have no opinion but I have had no problems with my 2.4 for nearly three years now and done some horrendous things with it like tow twice it's intended weight long distances up highland hills and the like and the temps have been fine.

If I am honest, I might have had no issues but it is always there in the back of my mind when I embark on a long journey, shame that...
