Tell her to see if anyone she is asking for donations work for a large company. some companies will match anything their staff give to charity so they may be able to double it. Fewer do this now than used to but worth an ask.

Of course if you did find any that did you could get others to give them their donations to donate though their bank account as theirs and get the company to match fund it all... but I would never suggest such a thing as its unethical.
