    Hello,
I wondered if anyone can explain the meaning of "Limited" when used in respect of a model name. ie- SSRX limited.?
I assumed it was to do with the specification or trim of the vehicle, but I have been told that is is to do with the vehicle having a limited slip differential.
    Can anyone enlighten me.
    Cheers.

im pretty sure its just the spec for trim etc not the slip diff.

someone else will probably answer more accurately in a mo.

Your chassis vin number will tell you if you've got a LSD if the diff number ends in 45.

I think if it ends in 4 its open and 5 if it's lsd and I think that the "Limited" is just trim level.

Could be wrong though, my 3.0 has open diff and a 4, with it on the ramp at the moment the wheels spin opposite ways.

Thats correct, what makes you think you might be wrong?

That's right, if I jack up my rear axle and turn a wheel they both turn in the same direction.

I meant wrong about "Limited" being a trim level

No, you're right there too. 'Limited' to a few million worldwide. You can tell by taking a look on eBay at all the "this is the rare 'limited' edition"

I had an LSD in my SSRG. Had to boot it to get the diff to grip the wheel with grip when I got stuck in the mud. I did a bit of research and the LSDs are okay for general use.
