Well ya dont get much "souther" than me which is why i did it myself!
heard of 150-200quid being charged for the whole lignup, f##k em, as i said (on many occaisions and to anyone who'll listen) i do not trust mechanics and the bigger the outfit the bigger the rip off,
my son took his defender in to have a "noise" checked out at a "land rover specialist" (haha) said they couldn't find owt wrong, when he got under it the forward prop bearing was shagged, totally broken up and the shaft wobbleing about like a dick up an alley, another job for me i'm guessing

That is extraordinary. Normally they would "find" lots of things wrong, fix them at great expense, and then watch you drive away with the original fault undiagnosed and unrepaired.

UFO enthusiasts claim that Bonnybridge is the world's number one UFO location, with an average of around 300 sightings a year.

                  Just saying.

They're not UFOs, that's just the locals. It's the incomers who report them.

I get charged £30ish just for toe in/out! Full alignment is £70 or more.
give Thatcham tyres a go... they're just as cheap as headley and don't have huge queues!

(probably about 2 miles from them just over the level crossing in thatcham)

I read that you cannot get a four wheel alignment done on a surf - nothing on the rear is adjustable so adjusting the rear wheels cannot be done.
It's simply toe in/out, camber and castor.
Yotatech has a good write up. Once I log in with one of my many accounts I'll get the link and post back

Dieselboy and SlugMan, did you both fit 2" Bj spacers? And did the places you went to do the full alignment without wingeing about manufacturer's specs, jap imports or big tyres?

Moreover, is your geometry perfect now?

I got my toe in done, but everyone i've tried for sorting the camber just says that they can't do it cos it's been changed from standard. I'd be interested in going to either of these places if they can get it done properly.

                              Cheers.

                                Hi mate,
My alignment was perfect afterwards. The place didn't know about the bj spacers and I never told them. They did moan constantly though! And shook his head at my CV joint angles.
I now need to look at another alignment place (or call out the mobile company) as I have some toe in and postive camber on on side after a pay and play. I really really cannot be motivated to do any of that today though
