Pulled apart my free wheel hub yesterday as it had stuck on 'free'
I was surprised to find that there had been water ingress as I refurbed them both a while ago including a new outer gasket and a light greasing
I guess this may mean that the innergasket is fecked? Easy enough to replace I guess.
My question is when putting any new (gasket material rather than liquid) gasket in should you just drop the gasket in or is there anything else I'm missing through mechanical numtitude that you do to 'seal' the gasket?
