Mr Chubb is a good bbq beer @ 3.7% you can drink it all day!

I was about to say I'd never had any West Berks beers until I looked at the website and realised I've drunk Maggs Mild and Full Circle. Possibly at a festival, but more probably as one of the 12 guest beers on weekly rotation at one of my locals, the Nags Head.

We lived in Auckland, New Zealand for a while. The stella tasted the same but no hangover. No idea why.

Rudgate Ruby Mild brewed at Tockworth just outside York. Voted Champion Beer of Britain 2009. Very pleasent to drink. You don't realise that you are slowly getting effected by it until about the 5th or 6th bottle and then why stop. Must admit though you have no trouble going the next morning.

Beardy ale. The most apt beer in the world. Drunk everywhere by people who have wives called doreen. It's such a practical beer, giving the imbibed a warm smug feeling. It allows them to pontificate about gas versus charcoal al fresco cooking for example. Characterized by being served warm, this beer is so thick you can slice it...or lubricate a traction engine crank shaft. The drinker need never worry about spilling it...it takes 30 seconds for even a drop to hit your open toed sandals.

I used to love Newcastle Brown Ale back in the 80's, it's a bit less potent now, but it has to be chilled. Drink it warm and it's like swallowing your own phlegm. Yuk!

Thomas Sykes - Burton Bridge Brewery. Only available on draught. Not a good drivers ale though @ 10%, but since I'm not driving, I'm off for one now.
