Hz - bass / trebble

Hi folks,
Been messing with the tv sound as it seems as though there is a lot of bass in it and went to change it but instead of bass/trebble etc its just listed in Hz
Tried googleing and just get a bunch of conflicting answers, soooo does anyone know of the optimal frequencies for lg tvs or just what the frequences pertain too?

Wont be back on this till later but will post what it says on the screen if that will make things any clearer.

Hz, or Hertz is a measure of frequency, with lower numbers corresponding to lower frequency. Typically 20Hz to 500Hz is regarded as bass / lower midrange, 500Hz to 7kHz regarded as midrange, and 7kHz up regarded as treble.

Unless your TV is has some kind of cinema sound system built in, it probably wont cope with anything below 150Hz so start from there I'd say
