rear window question

is it possible to overide the rear window somehow so i can lower the tail gate then get the window to come out. need it to work on the rear tint to remove it.....

Yes just trip the catches for the tailgate but remember to support the glass it breaks easily.

in that thread it tells ya how

easy way is ya need 2 peolpe have some one hold the glass at all times
it just pops out and they smash easy
grease up ya runners and arm for the window while its all off

You mean the window is fully operational normally but you want to work on the tint from inside without being inside the Surf?
Use a screw driver to close the door latches either side of the tail gate. Click these in twice each side and the window will work on the key or the button inside. Support the window as has been said, it's pretty wobbly once its nearly fully out.

Dont forget to unlock the tailgate and open the catches / release them before trying to close the tailgate! Makes a loud bang otherwise

oh quick question will a 2.4 surf window fit the 3.0 model.
and how easy is it to change the glass

the 2.4 and 3.0 are the same.The glass is easy enough to do but a bit fiddly getting it out but not to bad overall
