I've used that tyre gel before, it stays sticky and dust sticks to it. I use black boot polish now, after scrubbing the sidewalls first, much cheaper.

Thanks for the advice. I've only had it on the tyres for a day - Will look crap if the dust starts sticking to it! But makes sense!

Thanks for the link, I think I looked at that wax when you posted a link the last time. Price is interesting but a review said it doesn't stay on the car too long? The victoria wax reviews have said it lasts weeks but we'll see. It was these videos that convinced me:
