          Just wondering. How the hell do they get away with doing that in what looks like a built up area? Must be a hell of a risk assessment to do

            Thats why they do it over water. Those planes are so unstable that broken or out of control they'd probably only go a few hundred yards before hitting the deck.

              I remember trying to explain to Shirley that in order to make a 'plane perform like those do (it was actually an F-16 we were talking about), they have to be (almost) impossible to fly.

                  Another thing, how do they stay consious at nearly 12G.

                  Ive been in a centrefuge & 4G is bad enough.
                  If its not broke don't fix it.

                      Thats what I'm saying. They wouldn't be coming at you for long if they were out of control. Gravity always wins (Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees )

                      I went to the Red Bull a few years back, and they're well off the spectator lines, and I dont recall them flying towards the spectators at any point.
