If a 2.4 hilux head will fit onto the 2.4 surf block.I know that the 2.8 3l heads are used for replacements on the 2.4's when they blow but will the hilux 2.4 also fit

it works the other way round rich. we did it to my bro in laws mates.

right so the surf head will fit the hilux but not the hilux fit the surf
Thats fine.It was just that someone was asking for a 2.4 block and wasn't sure if the 2.4 hilux head would fit
