  • Colour coding?

Just recieved some Dakar over arches (wheel arch flares) in black plastic, thought of trying to colour code them.
Anyone tried this, do you need to treat the plastic with something?

    Any ideas?

My surf is a metallic dark blue ('92) standard colour- anyone know the paint code and availability?

    Is it worth it?

    Thanks
    Ronnie.

When painting plastic/fibre glass it is best to put a 'plastysizer' ( say as it is written , not spelt) in the paint to allow the paint to flex with panels you paint , to avoid cracking

The paint code should be on the model no plate which is located on the centre of the rear engine bay bulkhead. You should find a local car paint supplier in Yellow Pages who will be able to mix it for you.

          Got them from Milners. 01629734411.

          They are £135 (exc.VAT).

They fit with small screws on existing wheel arch rim and some clips, can't tell you how right know as I haven't fitted mine, but it looks pretty easy.

          They look alright.

If your interested give them a ring and request a photo, they sent me one.
If you get no joy, send me your address via email and I'll send on picture.

          cheers Ronnie
