Anybody got any experience/advice for an family holiday in Britain?
I'm sort of thinking caravan park in Dorset/south coast, but then again Lake district or Scotland could be on.

Thanks George, but I'm ruling out the north sea for temperature reasons. (I'm a suverner)

Where's Fawlty Towers? I could go with that.

Devon is expensive though, isn't it?

devon isnt that expensive...unless your looking to buy a second home...

are you planning on caravanning, camping, hotel, bed and breakfast?

Caravanning probably, but not with me own, a static one.

I was about to recommend Gower Peninsula, or maybe further North around the Barmouth / Harlech area.

Very nice - though not as cheap as it used to be as it's now Birmingham-on-Sea this time of year.

Stretch your feet, & the speed limit a bit & head towards the Dingle Peninsula in the South West of Ireland. You'll get a warm welcome & late late night drinking. Plenty roads to travel on & off.
