Well after the most awful few days of trying to get the site back, finally managed it - even thought we were going to have to revert to a backup of the forum from January 2008 it was that bad. We were hacked really bad and the site was sending out Spam as well as nasty other things. Anyway after many attempts it's back and running exactly where it left off with the dodgy files removed and everything back to normal (I think anyway).
Good thing is that our Hosting company now offer a premium backup service which backs up the site daily, weekly and monthly so we have subscribed to that so that any further instances should mean less years off my life than this one.
So everyone, sorry for the inconvenience but it seems we are back in business - HOORAY!!!
Just to add, there may be a few funnies that I will have to work through - due to Linux paths changing but I'll get through them as quick as I can.
