  • Key stuck in Ignition

Title pretty much says it all. Have been doing some tinkering today, was behind the dash checking some wiring (which is god awful!)

Started the engine to make sure everything was fine, started no problem. However now I cannot get the key out of the ignition. Just won't turn all the way to the off position.

    Anyone had this problem before?

    Cheers,

    Rob

James my friend... One day when our paths cross I am going to buy you the iciest tastiest biggest beer ever.

Moved the stick out of park to make getting behind the dash easier.

      Cheers!

How did you start it if it was in gear?

I just dropped the stick back to neutral... started fine.

spent 20 minutes lightly wiggling the key in a hope it would come loose! DOH! Oh well.

I love a good bit of sarcasm.

                Sarcastic comments always welcome :-).
(I am going to regret saying that)

Sarcasm is always good, better still when the other person does not realise you are being sarcastic and watching their face
I only realised about the leaving it in park bit because in the few months of being a surf/automatic owner i must have done it 10+ times.

                  Welcome by the way.

If its not broke don't fix it.
