    my order arrived today!

ill do the oil and atf fluid drain and change tonight when its cooled down.

ill save the discs and pads till saturday morning though, as i have no idea what im doing, just gonna crack the wheel nuts, raise the surf and puts stands under her, remove wheels, look at brakes for about ten mins, then take them off while trying to remember which order they go back on, replace old parts with new and put wheel back on.

    whats all this pistons buisiness?

draining brake fluid to prevent over flow?

It's straight forward assumeing nowt's sized, broken or totally f##ked,

once it jacked up and wheels off, remove the clip holding the pins in place on the calipers, make note of how their fitted beforehand, gently lever the old pads over to push the pistons back in, lever between the pad and disc, (either get someone else to watch the master cylinder and remove some fluid as needed or keep an eye on it as you push the pistons back, remove the old pads,
undo the two bolts secureing the caliper to the hub and remove, hang em up out the way while you do the discs, undo the six dome headed nuts and tap off the hub cover, remove the small bolt from the end of the stub axel and lever back the tabs on the big hex nut (these wont be super tight) remove the first nut and do the same again with the one behind it, disc and hub should now tap off,
hold the disc in a vise and undo the six bolts holding it to the hub, fit the new disc and torque up the six bolts, (dunno the setting, i just did em up pretty tight),
stuff some new grease in the hub bearrings and fit it onto the stub axel, (a bearring's bound to fall out so just make sure you refit it with the taper the right way round,)
push the assembly onto the stub till it's home, then place a tab washer in followed by the large nut, tighten this till your happy theres no wobble and the hub/disc rotates smoothly and it not too tight etc, bend the tabs over the flats of the nut, refit the outer tab washer and nut and bend the tabs onto the flats of the nut,
refit the small bolt and hub cover and six dome nuts, done!!!
refit the calipers and slide the new pads in, refit the spring steel retainers and pins and refit the retaing spring through the pins, recheck the fluid lever and that about does it
badly siezed pistons will require a new caliper (exchange i think), unless the pad retaining springs/pins are badly buggered you can re use em, cheap to replace tho,

      A little Tip ...
Jack the Truck up so both wheels are of the ground (Front or rear brakes) remove road wheels.
As you repair /fix one side ya will always have the other side as a reference..
      Good Luck
