  • She's Alive!

New head is done, engine rebuilt.

Big thankyou to Andy for getting on the bar for the torquing of head bolts and 'loan' of a new timing belt idler pulley when Roughtrax made an error and sent me a 2.4 one! (I've emailed them tonight Andy and sending back the wrong one on Monday, I'll get the new one down to you asap)

Another big thankyou to Yoshie for letting me clog up his driveway for a couple of days. (and my sister in law for the cups of tea! )

And a huge thanks to the stockcar crew of Grant, Gordon and Mark who showed up to get some spannering done and fire the old girl up.

She started on the first crank! New heart in my car and glad to have her purring again.

Better news for me Jess. I won't have my truck dissapearing every few months for his camping trips, plus the scrap value of my drive has dropped to an almost acceptable level.

It's really odd when you see a photo of someone that you never usually see. It's a bit like seeing a photo of a radio show host and thinking "ooh, I never thought they'd look like that".
