Between 8 & 12 depending how you drive it. So it is worse a lot worse.

So if you built something that tall (Humor me as i know you would not) with a diesel in it would it still do about 8-10 to the gallon.

I ask cos i really fancy doing something similar and need to think about doing the lift and tire's first or asking Vince to put me a Lexus V8 in and then Lifting the thing...

Are you going to JJJ this year cos i would love to see it in the flesh..

If you put some 5.71 diffs in it and drove it sensibly I cant see why it would be so thirsty. See you on the 12th June then.

I have looked at the V8 conversion posts and it looks pretty damn good thing to do. But my surf is used for commuting as well as fun. Guess i should get myself another.


IYO, how big a suspension and body lift and wheel size increase could you do before the MPG is sacrificed?
