saw a very nice 3.0L for sale on autotrader.

wouldnt mind it. shame the price is out of my reach.

did ask if the head had been done or any other issues had arrised with it.

to which he replied ''its the 2.4L surfs that have the head problems not the 3.0L''.

I was gonna reply saying that i asked if the head had been changed or if any other problems had arrised, since any surf can crack its head if overheated. but didnt bother.

Both look nice motors but appear to have a droopy rear end which suggest they need new springs

yea, its a dealership who are selling it. i laughed at his ad!

also laughed when he told me that the 3.0L doesnt have head problems, only the 2.4. considering my original question was....''has it had its head done in the past?'', not.....''does it suffer from head problems''.

dont think he will budge on the price either.

            in fact...

im gonna send another email and ask some more questions

check out their website at the other cars he has for sale.

some of them are priced extortionatly high.

                No reply from the dealer.

guess my email was asking too many questions that he already knew he was advertising false answers too.

                shame...

Mine is a spitting image of that one, a year newer, with 100k miles on the clock and was only £300 more from a dealer (bought 4 months ago).

                  So, I would say overpriced.

indeed. since the dealer never returned any of my questions, i presume he realises im not a fool who will just pay for what he see's.

quite annoying tho as someone will probably pay him that for the vehicle and wont have a clue that you cant have a jap import with just one owner, unless the owner came with it!

not even sure if i would trust the mileage he has put down.

reckon its 146000 miles or Km?

if it was Km, then that means it would have done about 90k miles, reasonable for a surf that age?

His site has a few other cars including land rover V8.
