Hi, i know some of you on here have motorbikes, just wondering if anyone's got any recommendations for insurance companies, as mine's up for renewal.

Personally I tend to use AQuote these days.

Some other places may be cheaper - but not by an awful lot I should imagine. The main reason I tend to use them is the service I've had from them. Absolutely second to none. I've nearly always got straight through to someone who can deal with my problem or they take your details and call you back pretty smartly.

When we renewed through them last year we did our usual phoning round, etc, and found one really cheap quote elsewhere. We got in touch with AQuote and the chap we spoke to said they'd sorted out a short term bargain deal with Norwich Union whereby NU promised to undercut anyone else so we got top notch cover at a bargain price.

I would definitely recommend phoning round a few of the specialist bike brokers though (Carole Nash, Bennetts, Hastings Direct, etc) cos they're all much of a muchness.

I used to use a specialist bike broker in Birmingham called Vauntage who were pretty good when it came to claims time too.

Thanks, the cheapest so far is 300 quid fully comp on my CBR600fs, 3 years NCD, 2 SP30's. I'm expecting to get it cheaper than that though if i ring around.

Got a quote off them a few weeks back, not ridden a bike for 6 years, no no claims on a CBR 600, £150 fully comp.
I'll be having some of that when i buy one.

Bike insurance for me is around about the £100 mark no matter what the bike is. Pity I can't afford a bike for myself at the moment! I just have to "borrow" the missus' Kawasaki ZRX400...

Ive used express insurance in the past but have used AQuote for quite a few years now, 29 years old, full no claims on my gsxr1000 k7 £330 fully comp, and £86 tpf&t for my bandit 600, excellent customer service and always someone nice and english speaking on the phone.
