  • Off roading...

I was just having a browse here and I noticed that these folks are relatively close to where I live and seem to have pretty regular pay & play days.

These folks, however, are RIGHT on my doorstep but don't seem to have to pay & play days advertised at the moment.

Anyone had any experiences with either of them? Any good?

    Ta!

hill n ditch is great if you love replacing parts on your vehicle. i have been twice and have vowed never to return.
the place is great apart from its an old sand quarry so its water and sand not mud.the sand will get into every moving part of your truck, so expect your alternator, starter, aircon pump etc to need replaceing soon after a visit to the place.

try Bala offroad, mud, water and trees, beware there thou as the trees have a tendancy to jump out on you
belive comb quarry is good but as yet i haven't been there.
one more thing, at pay n play sites aggressive tyres, snorkels and winches help

Have to say that Bala does look better. Plus I have friends in the neighbourhood too and they have suggested sorting out doing some off-roading over the summer sometime.

if you want, some of the best lanes in the UK are within a short distance of Bala.

let us know when you are coming over and if you want we can make a day of it

if this beach party pulls off then we could meet anyone coming from across the border control and lead them to porthmadog via as many green lanes as poss

I recon the beach party would be great fun, and some treking off to a few lanes would just be the icing on the cake, back to the beach for the evening for a bonfire and beer, sit around chatting about the days laning etc, mint!
