I believe that after-market HID kits will become MOT fails shortly. When fitted as standard they have automatic, constant self levelling systems fitted to prevent blinding on-coming drivers, this cannot be retro fitted so apparantly aftermarket kits will be banned in the near future.
What have I told you about thinking Erroll

          Yep.

When I had HiDs, they failed the MoT, due to poor beam pattern on main beam. For a while I changed the bulbs over for the MoT, until I built and installed an uprated wiring loom so there is no volt drop at the bulbs. Add better bulbs and I get similar performance that I used to get with the HiDs, but with less hassle.

I got the brighter ones from Halfords and when I was in I found some nice waterproof ABS constructed spotlights, wired into highbeam they are very good for offroading at night or driving those dark country lanes. Got an nice LED halo effect too, wired this into sidelights.

The low profile means they can mount onto the top of bumper.

Im not a halo lover really "oh err" but they do look quite good.

Your sidelights would look better with the bright white LED's though.

£70 for the pair, still going strong after a couple of years worth of mud hammering and jetwashing. Brackets getting a wee bit tatty but east to strip and refurb.

Suppose so but I went for function only, the halos were an add on I really didn't require.
