They look like the american racing outlaw 1's. They would look real nice restored back to shiney.
          Nice truck!

i am presuming thats the date. as its the only number i have found that has enough digits to be a date.

Sounds like a good excuse to do a 2" suspension lift to me! It's the excuse I'm giving the missus anyway!

does the 2inch lift really just cost the 69 quid for the two springs...?

Not sure but I think it depends on how far you want to go with it really. I mean, I know my standard shocks are on the way out (oil leaks & lets face it, they may well be getting on for nearly 20 years old!) and need replacing so I might as well go the whole hog with it. You may well be able to get away with replacing the springs and winding up the torsion bars at the front, or putting spacers in or something.

Hopefully someone more knowledgable than me will be along later to pour iced water down the trousers of my thoughts and give you a more definitive answer than I could hope to...

i was thinking springs and shocks on the back...

but will i then need to alter the front if i play with the back?

Nope you can leave it alone if you want (personally think it looks better) in regards to springs..... +2in Springs from Roughtrax and wind up the torsion bars at the front or as i said before just the springs to be honest..........or ......... body lift ....springs / shocks / bj spacers to leave the torsion bars alone ................or go the whole hog with new uprated suspension lift and all the stuff that comes with..... i bottled out at the springs and body lift (really havent had time this year to fit them yet)

I have spring spacers and longer shocks I bought from TonyN, but now no longer need. I'll be contacting Koi to place an ad on here soon

whats the driving like with the suspension lift and/or the body lift?

phantoms is looking sweet but i take it you have to slow right down for corners etc?

If i went for the springs and shocks at the moment, then did the whole suspension later on?

i need to get new hoses in the engine first as the elbow for the turbo is cracked and the rest are looking old and worn.

then the coolant needs flushing and replacing with toyota red. (cooling with water at the moment)

or do i get a 3l surf instead and do the lift etc on that? dont get me wrong, i like my 2.4 but the power is better in a 3l with the same MPG is it not?

Would have thought so but not too much

Could do but someone was getting rid of a whole kit on here and might be wrong (usually am lol) but the suspension +2 or 4 would be specific i.e cant mix and match with other stuff and think there is a fair bit of work for the suspension lift as opposed to the easy body lift but depends what you want it for. I have gone for the +2 springs and the body lift (the shocks will be at the most extent but its the easyest to do (well not got round to doing it yet but...), then can add suspenion lift later or as required.

Yup get the 3L much more oomph and there are two up for sale today on here for about 2-3000 that are all lifted /tyres/ etc all ready to go...my to do list is getting massive and cant seem to find the time when the truck is off the road for a bit
