i had a 2nd gen for the last 6 years and a few weeks ago i bought a 3rd gen intercooled and i am well impressed with it.I do a lot of towing and the 3rd gen has a better towing limit than the 2nd gens which i needed.I have noticed that the lift up tailgate is better for loading/unloading but i do miss the drop down on the 2nd gen as it does have its uses.
I never thought i would like the 3rd gens as much as i do.https://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

£3000 + for a 3rd gen (please correct me if im wrong)
£750+ for a 2nd gen
I paid £900 for my 2nd gen, with all the mods done to it, there are some bargains out there, it took me 8 weeks to find the one I wanted.
My personal opinion is that 2nd gens are better, but having never been in a
3rd gen, my opinion is slightly one sided!!Keep On Truckin!

Seriously though, it all depends on what funds you have to play with, I've tried the 2nd gens but have not had one to use on a daily basis but they seemed perfectly capable and nice to drive, personally having had my 3rd gen for a while now I'd definately have another.
Best thing to do would be to try both and see which you prefer.Neal
