I've found something I like on CBS. There is a nice black faced dial. It can also be lit up with several different colours...pretty.

I'm not to keen on the idea of a pillar mounted gauge. I'm such a fat git, I'm always swinging off the handle to get in and out. I like this one I've found as it's much more accurate than the surfs, but not to 1/10th of a degree or something equally distracting. It's pod mounted, so a little shaving of the base, should see it fitting nicely on the dash.

I have a temp and oil pressure gauge from the Smoked super white range, mainly because they match the Lexus instrument cluster, Black when off, white illumination when ignition on.

One cool feature of these gauges, they do a full sweep and go back to zero (or whatever they were reading when the engine was switched off)when the ignition is switched on.

They do gauges with programmable warning buzzer/light too, have a browse.

p.s. 52mm is the popular/usual size.

Edit: found them. Some real nice black plastic, with a chrome bezel.
