No. But I would, just in case.Originally posted by Kill-Surf-City View PostHi do you have to get the tracking done after fitting the idler
That's subjective. I'd say it was a piece of p!ss (5 bolts, if you take the idler off), others wouldn't be able to do it. Depends on how competent you are.Originally posted by Kill-Surf-City View PostAlso are they hard to fit ? Or it a easy 4 bolt job
Personally, I prefer amateurs to leave steering, suspension and brakes alone, but I'm in a very small minority. There's nothing really complicated in them, but small mistakes can have very serious consequences.Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

Note this only works if the ball joint is ok, so if its failed the MOT check what they've failed it on. If its the ball joint you'll need the whole idler arm.Originally posted by lord_flashart View PostOr you could just get the bushes from Roughtrax and rebuild it your self for £5+VAT?
I just did and it was a great, cheap fix!

Also the bolts are about five grunts tight, so it's not a job for an office boy!

Idler bush replacement here.

Although reading Jeffs post I think he means steering damper, could be wrong though.
If this is what you mean then I have a procomp one.
