  • Rear window motor parts needed

Hello, has anyone got a broken rear window motor that i can nick something from? I only need the small window drive gear and the circlip, see:

    http://daemon4x4.org/portal/articles.php?rid=0

(3rd picture down) My drive gear's badly rusted and wouldn't take a circlip, which is missing anyway. So if anyone's got them spare, let me know about costs and i'll get the money sent.

    Cheers.

Hi Don.Sorry the battery on the phone went last night. The drivers side will fit in with no problems and you just need to turn it 180 degrees.I can send you one for you to strip down if you want to use the parts from it

I was ideally only after the 2 parts from a broken one to keep the cost down. How much for the whole unit though?

Also, just recieved the hubs, thanks. How do i fit them? Do i need to dissassemble them or do i just unbolt the standard ones and stick these in their place?

      Cheers.

£10 delivered for the motor for you.
The hubs are easy enough. On the hub of the truck you will need to take the 6 or 8 12mm nuts off of the centre and the small cap also and take the 12mm bolt out from under that. The 6 or 8 nuts will have cone washers under them so you will need to go round and clout the hub near the studs to release the cone washers.Leave the nuts on loose or the cone washers will fly off and they can hit you hard or fly off a long distance.Once all the washers and nuts are off you then line up the fwh with the studs and slide it over. You the use the nuts and fix the fwh onto the main hub.You will need to tighten up the alan key studs around the outside aswell as i had undone them.It will also pay to put some decent grease inside before fitting.Hope you can understand these instructions

Ok mate i'll take the motor. Keep an eye on your paypal and i'll do it in a bit.
I think i get these instructions. Do they differ in any way to this write up?

I take it the paper gasket's to stop it sticking or something? It also says there you don't need to use the cone washers? Do you just pump grease into the main bit where the splines are?

          Cheers for that.

The writre up in the link is better to follow than what my instructions are. There was no gasket tho when i had them fitted but it wouldn't hurt to put a little instant gasket on anyway
The motor will be off tomorrow and sent Tuesday and be with you Wednesday. Will it be at the college address again
