  • All that chrome !!!!!!

Now then I am sure there will be lots of different opinions on this one but here goes ----- Which is the best product to clean and protect all that lovely chrome on my surf ? It's years since I got the Solvol Autosol out and I remember this product was good. So any thoughts and recommendations ?

Go with what you know best. I tried to find some Solvol for mine but Halfrauds only had a different name metal polish (still a paste in a tube) but it does the trick on my Surf. Works as well as Solvol did.

Some car polish's can be used on chrome, i think MER is one.

        Chrome cleaner

        Hi
I always use Chrome Magic. I have tried other products, but always come back to this one. It's not as abrasive as some so you dont get the fine whirls left on the chrome. It also leaves a slight wax on the surface which protects it from further tarnishing. They also do a sister product called Alu Magic which is great on aluminium, brass and stainless steel.
Both are available from car shows, specialists and by mail order. You won't get them in Halfords.
I'm at work at the moment so I can't get the bottle for a contact number. Try a classic car mag, or I'll post the number this evening.

To save on wearing your chrome away with constant abrasive polishing use autoglym on it after solvol, it will protect it for longer so you wont need to use abrasive polish so often!!
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!
I gave it some abuse.................and it broke!!!!!!!

I use Autosol an then a clear polish. It keeps the chrome looking good for about three washes.
