  • mpg on LN130 2.4

    Hi Guys. i have a 1193 LN130 2.4 turbo diesal automatic , and i tow a single axle caravan with a mtplm of 1568kgs,
    we went on a recent trip to cambridge and the mpg didnt seem to good, what can i expect to get from it pulling that weight behind me

    Probably 17 to 19 mpg.

    If you have chunky and/or wider than stock tyres, it'll be the lower figure.
    You can use veg oil off the shelf, or filtered used oil to keep running costs down you know, no engine modifications necessary.

      i have a 1992 2.4 surf can i just go buy sum veg oil and put it right in the tank then that ok or do you have to mix it with the diesel ?

        Yes. Straight into the tank. Mind you, veg oil seems dearer than ever so bear this in mind.
        Non intercooled nothing.

          no matter what you drive
          but in a surf ya towing in style and comfort

            Sad to say thats the very reason I had to sell mine 18 to the gallon tip towing if you pardon the pun. I hope things have now improved enough for me to consider a newer version.
