Hello Sid ! long time no speak !! I'm not in a rush Mate, it's my lad that wants a lifted Truck with all the dangly bits.I was hoping it would be a passing fad but he has plans...up to know he has just about burnt out his bike, caught him in my FV432 trying to start it (thank god it has gone to the museum) He has given up archery for now so the next project is a Lifted surf etc and I suppose the Bank of dad will have to bail him out etc etc

Oh Yes ! Went to Cornwall at Easter, took some doors for Richard (Stormforce) after getting stuck at A42 tailback and going to south Nottingham we managed a total round trip of 765 miles ! ave 32mpg !

Busy trying to find our Chris a truck but all the 'monster trucks' are a bit out of his price range ! well the good ones are anyway !

Hello,I wish i wasgetting 32 to the gallon,ive had to change the shocks on mine,i got some of them desert fox ones from roughtrax,still got the rims from richard but havent got round to putting tyres on them.
Work has been ok been busy since october last year, starting work on the house soon but its like opening a can of worms,theres that much to do,getting the materials from one of the jobs im working though.
I was thinking of loosing the truck and getting a vw passet19tdi dont know what iwould get on the trade in .
Did you get the tools out when you got to richards lol

Anybody bidding on fleabay no 120560411219 ? I fear Chris is about to bid the whole £3100 ! and then he announces he is considering re-joining so he can go back to Bastion !!! I am sure swmbo will have lots to say !!!Would much prefer if the truck belonged to someone on here at least have the peace of mind that it was owned by someone who knew what they were talking about !

Have to say that 120560411219 doesn't look too bad but I don't see how it's worth £3100.

You could easily get yourself a much cheaper Surf, do what you want to it and come up quids-in for way less than that.

Lets put it this way - you're always going to find stuff wrong no matter what you buy.

I got my Surf for about £700ish. Yes, it needed a new head but I did it as cheaply as possible with new bits, sourcing them myself and it probably cost about £600 or so more than I would've spent anyway sticking new belts, etc, on anyway.

If I'd spent say £1500 on a Surf and then had to spend that much I'd have been furious! As it stands, I know its been done with quality parts (Roughtrax) and it should run trouble free for many years to come.

It is my intention (when cash allows) to do a 2" body lift, 2" sus lift and one or two other bits and bobs. Total price of everything I'm doing will be way less than £3000 and I'm learning a hell of a lot along the way.

This isn't entirely through choice, just a matter of cutting my cloth according to my means.

Well said Sir ! as I said patience is a virtue ! sadly lacking in the offspring dept ! at least he has saved the money or got it through selling unwanted items ! last time it was a bank loan and yes you guessed it mum bailed him out !!!

That truck doesn't look too bad and belongs (or used to belong) to a member on here. It has obvious Apache stickers all over it and I think I can read 286 BHP on one of them.
