rpm on tick over?

alright peeps.just wondering how much rpm i should be looking at on tick over in my 2.4 diesel 2nd gen auto surf? at the moment it fluctuates from 900 to about 1100

I think it's 700rpm for a manual and 800rpm for an auto...

i have a 3rd gen and tickover is about 750ish if thats any good ?

Depends on the temperature and if you have the fast idle switch on.

3rd gen 3 - idle at about 7-800 rpm - sounds too fast...

Is that the right idle speed? it just sounds like its revving a bit high to me (even the wife said it too...)

Cant wind it down at the cable, its already as low as it can go.

Mines at about 740 & if it goes any lower it shudders as if to stall.
