Air con gas

Hey,
has anybody got an idea how much gas needs to go into the system when recharging the air con, the garage has no info on their computer, therefore he stuck 1000g of gas in, they only removed 500g of the old gas but we have not had the air con recharged since we've had the car. (96 3rd gen intercooled).

Tell them it's the same as a 3.0L 4runner of the same year.

When I had mine checked and refilled after a repair a fair few years back the aircon guy put in around 700g. If you have 1K in there it may be too much for the system and could cause problems.
