  • Tax Banding Info

    Thought this might be useful:

    or from the DVLA:

This is the only section that applies to us on here........
Cars registered before 1 March 2001

In many cases the emissions test data is simply not available for cars registered before March 2001, so, the rate of VED can't be linked to CO2 emissions. Yet, there are still discounts to be had for smaller cars.
    2009/10 car tax rates
    • £125 per year if the engine capacity is 1,549cc or less
    • £190 per year if the engine's over 1,549cc
    2010/11 car tax rates

The November 2008 pre-budget report included the announcement that:
    • the rate for smaller engined cars will remain at £125 in 2010/11
    • The annual rate for cars registered before March 2001 and with an engine size larger than 1,549cc will rise to £205 in 2010/11

The rest will just confuse most poeple to be honest , particularly those who can't be bothered to use the search facility and it'll spawn a load of pointless threads.

And yet there are so many members on here who have other vehicles in their family that are not Surfs...

I have received a huge amount of help on this site & just thought that for once, I could be a little helpful to one or two of them for a change.
      Oh well...I tried.

Don't take it wrong, the links you have posted are very helpful and give all the details you could need, but most people on this site are going to be looking for the tax rates on a Surf and Bushwhacker's post gives the quick definitive answer.
The links will be helpfull to many people none the less (as you say, members have other vehicles too) so good post .
