  • Side step supports

I noticed today when I was under the truck bleeding heavily (sorry I mean, changing a badly fitted exhaust and track rod ends!) that the tubular frame type thing that supports the side steps is very badly rusted. Would anyone know where I can get a replacement pair and how much I would be expected to shell out for these?

I have looked at roughtrax and milners so far but they only have the side steps and not the supports.

    Cheers
    Paul

I don't think anyone sells just the brackets. Your best bet is to buy a pair off a breaker (try Lord Lucan or Stormforce) or remove them and make your truck look better.....

Remove them it's only 12 bolts and nuts hehe.

Well what's I did, but it's not for everyone
The outer bar does seem to be the part that rots that's how my'n had gone I preffer the look with out them, kind of instant-lift.

don't forget to tie a piece of string to the stool so you can pull it in the truck or your knackered next time..

If you look in Shirl's profile you will see that the setter is sat and Shirl is standing up so that will give you a clue on how tall she is....

Oh...just remembered the last time I took a caravan stool in a vehicle...I was driving my 23 ft Iveco campervan twin wheeled turbo daily and stopped off in a lay-by for a cuppa..I needed to use the stool to get in and out via the side sliding door....Anyway we had oor cuppa and proceeded to go on our way...On driving off I felt a ''bump''...oh dear...I had just driven over the stool....as I had forgotten to put it back in......
