need a bit of help guys

is it possible to fit a 2.4 f.i.p into a 3ltr engine??? i know the pumps roughly look the same,but ive got a bit of a headscratcher in the workshop at the mo,i have nothing here to compare the two pumps with.ive got a few electrical connectors on this loom that should go to the pump,but theres no where for them to fit.now ive been told the pump has recently been changed,so im thinking somewhere along the lines of is it a 2.4 pump thats been fitted.any ideas.

cheers neil, we sussed it earlier this morning, someone has fitted a 2.4pump to a 3.0ltr engine, and cut all the loom about hence why it wont run properly.
