Sorry Caney, but I think they've seen you coming!
You can buy a complete engine for around £400 that can be heard running! Or you could buy a working 2nd hand inj pump and have it fitted for a whole lot less than that.

No disrespects but, is your surf really worth spending that kind of money on an inj pump?

How about buying another Surf thats spares or repairs for £3-400?
Think of all the spares you'd then have for nigh on half the cost!

Think long & hard about this & in the mean time, tell this garage not to procede!

I fully understand the attachment you have, I really do. You'd have to step over my dead decaying body to get mine!
If you sourced a spares or repair, you would of course have a fuel pump & a whole car for future spares. Worth thinking about I think. (If you have the space etc. Just a case of getting them swopped.

have you tried Arch motors in Llandudno they had a 2.4 a little while back.

Caney - my 2.4 efi is currently stored. If you can make it to Chester an are willing to take it off yourself you are welcome to it mate. Don't know if its a easy job or if the engine smashing itself to bits has effected it or not, but its there if you want.

thanks all for youre kind words and help, gona get it done, new cambelt tensioner and water pump is included in cost, hopefully give a few more years of driving me beast, and worry case it breaks again lol, cheers.
