  • wheel arch extensions

    Hi folks
Have been given a nice set of wheels with 265 tyres, the offset is larger than the standards and they stick out a bit.
Anyone know a good place to get wheel arch extensions, any will do, preferably not too expensive and not too naff.

    Any pointers welcome
    Thanks
    Ronnie

I doubt 265's would warrant flares but if you want them go here

on the subject of extensions I have the very dark grey ones fitted to my silver 4 runner and i am convinced they are the main reason for the rotting wings. I have bubbles all round where the arches join...guess they create a water trap and maybe as they have been retro fitted the fixings used has involved drilling and breaking the paint.

not so bad as can easily replace front wings (next year now) but notice the back arch has started to bubble too....doh!

do you guys have any tips on sealers etc.

will dry fit next time and then get wings sprayed but fixings will still break out paint i am sure.

got a spare set when i brought the 4 runner (think one may have been replaced after a minor bump) but all look ok.

not sure what they are worth but open to offers if anyone is in need?

PS still the cheapest and best vehicle I have ever had....love it

The 4runner i had here recently had the same problem that the wings were rotten when the arches came off.All the surfs i have had in for breaking the wings have been good.I think its more to do with the salt they use on the raods over here

They never came with extensions in Canada and they are basically all rotted as well. Oil spray the inside of the wings if you have wheel arch extensions or not.
