Hi, I am currently looking to purchase myself a Surf to replace my very standard 3 door hatchback as it no longer suits me for my weekend trips to the coast with a surf board on the roof. What would be really handy to know is the roof bar situation for a 3rd gen? I know there are runners towards the back that can accomodate bars but with a 7ft10" surf board these would be too near the back and not enough support on the front of the board? So my question really is can bars be put over between the doors on the 3rd gen as on the 2nd gen surf or shall i stick to my budget and get a 2nd gen anyway? Im kinda new to this so any help and advice would be great!
