  • 3rd gen Surf

    Hey guys

I joined a while ago but never posted, I was looking for a 2nd gen for a longtime but I have recently been driving the works 3rd gens and have changed my mind lol.

We have both 3.0 diesels SSR-X and G

I have no idea what the differences are apart from the topmount intercooler on the G

    Can you please enlighten me

    cheers

      A few differences

      SSR-G has:
Intercooler "which gives you a bit more power".
big rear spoiler, with slide down electric mirror.
      Rear heater.
      12volt socket in boot.
      Twin batteries.
Limited slip diff "but im not 100% sure on that".

Please note that most of the above "apart from the intercooler & mirror spoiler" can be found on ssr-x models depending on where they came from.

P.S if anyone wishes to add to list or shout me down then please feel free.
If its not broke don't fix it.

No intercooler on mine either, but it does have 150bhp, traction control, a LSD, chrome bumpers and it doesn't stink of diesel.

                Howdy & welcome.

Good choice. I was gonna get a broken gen as well but eventually went for a 3rd gen instead.

I tried to find a link to a Bill Bailey video about acid but I couldn't quite find the right bit. Grrr.

If you look in the technical section (3.0ltr kzn185 etc) Vince (Bushwhacker) has posted pics on replacing rear bumper for me, one of the photos shows the socket on the side of the rear load area (right of pic) where Vince referred to tow bar wiring etc hope that helps ?
