should it sound like this

I have recently bought a 94 3ltr surf. Before i went for this one i looked at others all the ones i tried ( including this one)sounded like there was a small blow on the exhaust when accelerating, It sounds a little like the old american v8's from the 70's. is this how it should sound or should i look for a blow on the exaust or manifold.
