  • Got a lot faster ....

..... broadband. I got our broadband reset by a guy in our village . We originaly was getting 436 kbps now getting 1856 kbps . All he did was change the faceplate on the wall of the phone socket . Things are a lot faster here now !! He reckons alot of the faceplates supplied and fitted by BT are poor quality and you should get a test done on the socket point behind the faceplate .

Sounds like he may have fitted the BT accelerator. I asked BT for one a few months back which they send out for free. ( You pay postage) It does make a difference for sure.

You can buy them from other sources and they do make a difference, line noise makes for packet loss wich means slower transfer rates as data has to be resent, clean lines work better.

Cat6 is your friend Oo bring on the 24mb upgrade next month for my exchange

Is that confirmed..?? I knew they were planning 1st Q 2010, but it has already been postponed once. We moved from sky to bt in anticipation of the new network
