does recoring give a better result than buying a new genuine radiator?

Don't know the correct terminology, but many after market radiators only have 2 channels (dual core?), which will offer slightly less cooling. The original has 3. A good recore will be as good as the original radiator.

There's also quite a lot of stories on here of after market radiators failing after a year or two.
