  • Surf Dimentions

Does anybody know the dimensions of a 1994 Surf including the rear wheel and an A bar? Also has a roof rack but that can come off if needed.
Have to book a ferry and the limits for a car are 5m in length 1.85m high.

Always put the smallest, they never measure.
And if they did, pay the extra then.

2nd Gen with spare underneath is: 4470mm length, height (std) 1755mm so I would think you should be within the limits.

I would say thats about right. I'm 182cm tall and the Surf is not quite as tall as me. The roof bars might need to come off though if they were being realy picky. I think it'll be fine as is.

I take it then that France have banned the use of tape measures?
              Whatever next?

I came back from Zeebrugge to Hull last summer and the car (Mondeo) was next to vans and buses. You'll be fine.

Just to muddy the waters a bit .....

I know it's not relevant to this post but the height is incredibly important to some ferry company's - they have adjustable height sections and getting the height wrong can cost you a crossing if they're fully loaded

Life is too important to take seriously !

Hardly likely to be full in January.

I thought I'd pointed out that that my post was NOT totally relevant (but it's good info for other ferry users !)
