fuel pump, water pump, washer pump??

it's not the end of the world... if it's the fuel pump, just look for a diesel specialist and they'll probably be able to do something with it!

8 to 10 hours is a bit steep.Knock that back to half at least i would of thought.I'll send a pump for £100 and i'm sure there's someone on here close that can give a hand to fit it

Follow the write-up on how to change the timing belt and do the pump at the same time.

your looking at a hour max to strip everything down and then fit the pump and again say 2hrs max to put everything back and check it all and that should be a garage.
The pump has 2 bolts on the back to take off and they are the ones fixing it in place and 2 fixing it to the block and then the 1 with the pulley wheel.I cant see how a garage can quote for 10hrs to do it.
Just put a thread up to ask for help from someone up your way.I should be able to get a pump to you on Tuesday if needed

even if you get someone to do it for £100 then its only cost £200 to get the truck back on the road and better then 10hrs labour at whatever cost they charge

I changed my 2.4 pump in three hours. It is a tiny bit fiddly but do-able.
                        Non intercooled nothing.

I'd allow 3-4 hours, there's lots take off, and you dont want to rush it. 2 hours is pushing it a little..
